Summary:
The North Shore High School Social Studies Department helps students develop a better understanding and appreciation of history, geography, economic and political systems, and civic participation. In order to prepare students to succeed in a rapidly changing global society, North Shore focuses on the development of skills such as problem solving, collaboration, and critical thinking. We strive to foster the qualities that will lead students to become independent, reflective, and ethical contributors to our democratic society.

Social Studies Requirements:
Social Studies is required of all students in grades 9 through 12.
