Subject: Governor Hochul Ends Mask Mandate in Schools Effective March 2

Dear North Shore Community Member,

As you may have heard or read, Governor Hochul has ended the mask mandate in schools effective Wednesday, March 2. Tomorrow I will distribute a letter that will detail the procedures that I outlined at the most recent meeting of the Board of Education on how we will approach a mask optional environment beginning on 3/2.
While I hope it will answer most of the questions, and anticipate this new situation appropriately, I am sure there will be other information that we will also share with the community in the days and weeks ahead. 


Please note that the mandate does remain in place for schools on Monday and Tuesday of this week.
