I am writing to let you know that we have spent the day contact tracing and working through issues related to the closures of Glen Head Elementary and North Shore Middle School today. Please note the following for next week: 

North Shore Middle School will reopen to in-person instruction on Monday, December 14, 2020. All close contacts have been identified, contacted, and will remain in mandatory quarantine for 14 days. 

Glen Head Elementary School will remain in remote instruction for Monday, December 14, 2020 and Tuesday, December 15, 2020. This is done out of an abundance of caution. While we suspect that students at Glen Head are not close contacts, due to the timing and potential scope of this case, we believe, in consultation with the Department of Health, that it is prudent to closely monitor for symptoms over the next few days. If students or staff at Glen Head show any sign of symptoms, even over the weekend, please email Dr. Rufa and/or Mrs. Leder directly. Your child's teachers will be in touch with you before Monday.

Glenwood Landing, Sea Cliff, and North Shore High School will follow their normal in-person or hybrid schedule on Monday. Please enjoy a very relaxing weekend.  Be safe, healthy, and well.
