Covid Testing Available

Dear North Shore Parents, Faculty and Community Members,

I hope that this note finds you well getting ready to settle into a relaxing Pre-Thanksgiving weekend. It's been wonderful having so many of our students back and schools open for the the end of the week and, like all of you, I am looking forward to the weekend.
As you know, Nassau County's and our community rates remain high and staying healthy is our first priority. In the event our community is designated as a Yellow Micro-cluster Zone, schools in that zone will either need to close or conduct a large scale testing effort of students and our employees. In an effort to pilot our capability to engage in testing on a bigger scale and as a courtesy to our community, faculty, and staff, Rapid Covid Testing will be available at North Shore High School on the upcoming dates. I am pleased to report that we've had a couple of days without positive tests.

Most insurances are accepted and testing is completely optional for our students and staff.  Please have a terrific weekend, stay healthy, be well, and notice the good.  Remember that we are in this together and we can enjoy each other's company. That said, please practice social distancing, wear your face coverings, practice good hand hygiene, and avoid gatherings where social distancing can't be employed.
