ANNUAL BUDGET VOTE INFORMATION FOR THE 2025-2026 BUDGET

MAY 20, 2025 BUDGET VOTE AND ELECTION OF TRUSTEES

 

VOTER INFORMATION

In order to vote you must be a US citizen, 18 years old or older, and a resident of the North Shore Central School District for at least thirty days before the vote. In addition, a resident must be registered either with the school district or with the Nassau County Board of Elections.

You may register to vote by printing out the New York State Voter Registration Form and mailing it directly to the Nassau County Board of Elections at P.O. Box 9002, Mineola NY 11501. Click Here to print in English; Click Here print in Spanish.  You may also register online using the Online Voter Registration Portal on the Nassau County Board of Elections Website Click Here. This will qualify you to vote in all local, national and school district elections. If you have voted in the last four (4) school district elections, there is no need to re-register.

You may also register in person at the North Shore School District on Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Central Administration Building, 112 Franklin Avenue, Sea Cliff. This is the last day to register for the Budget Vote and Election.

EARLY MAIL BALLOTS

Voters may now vote by Early Mail Ballot.

Applications for early mail ballots must be completed before an Early Mail Ballot can be issued.

Applications can be picked up during school business hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) from the District Clerk or printed below:

Completed applications will be accepted beginning April 21, 2025 and must be received by the District Clerk no later than seven (7) days before the vote (May 13, 2025) if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, OR the day before the election (May 19, 2025) if the application is hand-delivered and the ballot is picked up by the voter.

Early Mail Ballot Applications may be mailed or dropped off at the office of the District Clerk, North Shore Central School District, 112 Franklin Avenue, Sea Cliff, NY 11579

Completed early mail ballots must be received at the office of the District Clerk NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ON Tuesday, May 20, 2025 in order to be counted in the election.

ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Applications for absentee ballots must be completed before an Absentee Ballot can be issued.
Applications can be picked up during school business hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm) from the District Clerk or printed below:

Completed applications for requesting an Absentee Ballot will be accepted beginning April 21, 2025 and must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the vote if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, OR the day before the election (May 13, 2025) if the application is hand-delivered and the ballot is picked up by the voter.

BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE NOMINATING PETITIONS

District residents who are interested in running for a seat on the Board of Education can pick up a nominating petition and candidate packet from the office of the District Clerk, 112 Franklin Avenue, Sea Cliff during school days between (8:00 am – 4:00 pm).

Petitions must be filed with the District Clerk no later than Monday, April 21, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.
