A Collaboration Combining Physical Education and Art

Glenwood Landing kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students recently celebrated the end of their scooter unit with a special event called Scooterville. In collaboration with the Fifth Grade Art Club, led by art teacher Mrs. Lauren Moran, fifth graders designed and painted colorful building murals for younger students to explore.

As they navigated Scooterville, PE students practiced their scooter skills, plate spinning, scarf throwing, bean bag tossing, and coloring abilities in a fun, interactive environment. Physical Education teachers Ms. Stephanie Donnelly and Ms. Nicole Esposito were thrilled to see this interdisciplinary project come to life through teamwork between the GWL Art Club, teachers, and students.
