GH Students Welcomed Back by Principal Sheehan, Faculty & Staff on First Day

Outside on a glorious September day, Principal Mr. Thomas Sheehan along with his faculty and staff happily welcomed students back for a wonderful 2025-26 school year. Everyone cheered as students walked in the doors of Glen Head School and were reunited with their friends on the first day of school on September 2, 2025. Additionally, Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, Dr. Carol Ann Smyth, and Assistant Superintendent for Business, Mr. James Pappas visited Glen Head School to meet the students.

Principal Sheehan could be seen “high fiving” his students as they arrived and also went into all the classrooms to say “hello!” At 9 am, he also welcomed his new Pre-K students and families.

Please note, the Elementary Back-to-School Night is Thursday, September 11, and Homecoming is Saturday, October 18, 2025! Please join us!

Thank you to Principal Sheehan and all of the administration, faculty, staff, and GH PTO for all of their preparation and hard work. It was a wonderful first day of classes. Best of luck to everyone at Glen Head School and have a wonderful school year!
