Key Club Named Again A Distinguished Diamond Level Club
Congratulations to the North Shore Key Club who recently went to the New York State 77th Leadership Conference in Albany and brought home GOLD in all the categories they entered! Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis said, "This is amazing news! I am so proud of Ms. Salat and the Key Club, and for our District for this incredible accomplishment. Go Vikings Go!”
Once again, the North Shore Key Club was named a distinguished Diamond Level Club in NY State (the highest level any club can achieve). HS students that attended included Quincy Bartlett, Sadie Elbaum, Chone Iannelli, Olivia McCarthy, Abby Reisberg, and Andy Ye.
Ms. Julia Salat said, “We represented North Shore High School with pride and we hope you are proud of our accomplishments:” The North Shore Key Club received GOLD for the following:
• A Scrapbook documenting #4,059 hours of service in 2024-2025; raising $5,046 for charity that was dedicated to club President, Anneliese Broccolo
• Public Relations Book
• Major Emphasis Program (MEP) book for the NS Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
North Shore High School Principal Eric Contreras said, "Congratulations to the members of the North Shore High School Key on such a spectacular achievement. There are over 250 Key Club high school programs across NY State. To earn the top GOLD distinction is impressive. It speaks to the hard work and dedication of our members and the mentorship and commitment of Ms. Julia Salat to the club. In an age where measurable academic metrics are the high bar, we are reminded that the values of service, character teamwork, and leadership matter just as much for our students. We do it all at North Shore High School! Thank you to mentors like Ms. Salat and organizations such as Key Club."
Ms. Salat concluded by saying, “This is a truly amazing group of Key Clubbers that work hard to achieve excellence all year long. Anneliese Broccolo, our Key Club President, has done a great job! She has been an active member with me since her North Shore Middle School Builders Club days. It is an honor to serve our community.”
