SC Students Become Entrepreneurs
Utilizing Problem-Solving, Creativity, and Communications Skills
In celebration of Entrepreneurship Week, Sea Cliff students participated in a week full of creativity, innovation, and big ideas!
On Monday, November 17, 2025, students attended a special assembly
where they learned what it meant to be an entrepreneur - someone who turns ideas into reality! They heard the inspiring story of SNAP Wellness, founded by two sisters, Kristen and Katelyn, from Sea Cliff who invented the world’s first touchless sunscreen machine.
Each student received their own “My Ideas” book to record their innovative ideas throughout the week and draw designs of their inventions. Some ideas included helpful new products, unique inventions, and an innovation that makes the world a little “brighter.”
Before school on Friday, 11/21, students selected their favorite ideas, drew a picture of it or made a model, and outlined: its name, the problem it solved, who it helps, the target audience or who may want it, and why it’s special? Then they participated in an educational and fun entrepreneurship event led by the SNAP Wellness Team, Ms. Kaye, and Principal McCormack to celebrate the student’s creativity.
On stage, many Sea Cliff students presented their innovations to their peers. Some of the wonderful ideas included MRR2000 (a hot/cold machine), Saver Drone (acts as a lifeguard with first aid, rope, and life vest), Virtual Watch (senses danger/tells your location/waterproof without batteries), Electric Ball X3000 (a football that tracks speed/distance), A&M Slimez (mess-free slime), Time Jumper (time machine past/future), and The Kid Tracker (ring with built-in GPS) – just to name a few!
Principal McCormack concluded by saying, “Thank you to our SNAP Wellness team and our students for a great Entrepreneurship Week! With the assistance of our faculty and staff, we always try to build confidence in our students, encourage them to embrace their problem-solving skills, and nurture their imagination and innovation – skills that will carry them far beyond their North Shore Journey! Thank you for thinking big and dreaming boldly Sea Cliff!”
