GWL Charter Champs”– Student Recognition
At Glenwood Landing School, recognizing positive behavior helps build strong character, confidence, and academic success. Principal Finder said, “I am excited to share our new student recognition initiative called “Charter Champs”.
What is Charter Champs?
Each month, GWL school will highlight one character trait that connects to our shared values. Teachers and staff will give students Charter Champ tickets when they show behaviors that reflect that month’s theme. At the end of each month, every class will select one student to be recognized as their Charter Champs. In November, students had to demonstrate “gratitude” which is a feeling you have when you feel thankful for something, a person, or a little act of kindness. Some words associated with gratitude include thankfulness, appreciation, gratefulness, kindness, empathy, acknowledgement, and recognition.
