GH School Transforms into Candy Cane Lane for the Holidays!

On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, Glen Head students got a big sweet surprise when they walked into their beloved school the day before Winter Break! To their joy, the entrance and main hallway were decorated with many candy canes along with Glen head Staff! The hallway was transformed into Candy Cane Lane with numerous snowflakes hanging from the ceiling and candy canes, Christmas trees, dreidels, and snowmen/ women on the walls as far as the eye could see! The students were not only happily greeted by the staff, but their teachers also were dressed up for the holiday season!

But that’s not all! Later in the day, Principal Sheehan led a schoolwide “Holiday Sing A-long” in the gymnasium. Popular songs were sung to the delight of the students, faculty and staff. Additionally, Principal Sheehan announced the winners of the Ugly Sweater Contest and held the first annual Dreidel Spinning Contest with the faculty!

Thank you to Principal Sheehan and his faculty, staff, and custodians for working so hard to decorate Glen Head School as Candy Cane Lane! Additionally, many thanks to everyone who dressed up in costumes and joyfully sang popular songs to the joy of all the students in the gymnasium. Happy holidays and a healthy New Year!
