North Shore Welcomes New Faculty and Staff in 2025
On August 27, 2025, Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis and Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Dr. CarolAnn Smyth along with North Shore administrators, Dr. Andrea Macari, President of the Board of Education, Ms. Lisa Colacioppo, Vice President of the Board of Education, and trustees welcomed the following new faculty and staff to the North Shore School District: Alyssa Augello (Special Education – GWL), Kevin Wasp (Math LR – HS), Samantha Nathan (Social Studies – HS), Josepha Sowanou (French – HS), Kelly Mahabir (Math – HS), Ling (Paris) Zhu (Mandarin - MS/HS), Nicholas Pascarella (Italian – HS), Cierra Stewart (Elementary Classroom SC), Amy Doggendorff (Elementary Classroom SC), Emily Snow (Elementary Classroom SC), Caitlyn Rapelje (Elementary Classroom GWL), Alyssa Ambrosio (Special Education SC), Sara Ryan (ENL - GH/MS), Stephanie Maltez (ENL – HS), Jaden Galluzzo (Physical Education – HS), Thomas Pfingst (Counselor MS), Laura Carfora (School Psychologist – MS), and Ruth Peets-Butcher (Sixth Grade Social Studies – MS). Leave replacement teachers include Cara Duffy and Karina Lopez.
These new North Shore faculty and staff embody the enthusiasm, intelligence, compassion, curiosity, and love for learning we wish to bring to each of our
students. They will help our students discover their dreams, pursue their goals, meet new students, and succeed in our classrooms, on our fields, and on our stages at all five elementary and secondary schools. We are proud to have them join the North Shore School District as our new colleagues and friends.
