Congratulations! 102 New York State Seal of Biliteracy Recipients

Congratulations to our 102 New York State Seal of Biliteracy recipients! This year we had four students receive the seal in TWO** languages (a language studied at North Shore and their home language).

Director of World Languages and ENL, Ms. Ana Aguiar-Mady said, “One of the goals of world language education is to prepare our students for our world of multilingualism and multiculturalism. The New York State Seal of Biliteracy is a formal recognition of students who have studied and achieved a high level of proficiency in English and at least one other world language. Students earned the seal in Arabic, Cantonese, French, Greek, Italian, Latin, Mandarin and Spanish.”
