Glenwood Landing School Library Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
On November 6, 2024, Glenwood Landing Principal Bridget Finder, Library Media Specialists Ms. Christine Kingsley and Ms. Stephanie Smith, along with fourth graders, faculty, and staff welcomed Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis, Assistant Superintendent for Instruction, Dr. Carol Ann Smyth, Assistant Superintendent for Business, James Pappas, and Facilities and Operations Manager John Hall to the ribbon cutting ceremony of the GWL Library!
Principal Finder happily thanked everyone in the audience for the completion of the Glenwood Landing School library. She commented on how grateful she, the faculty, and GWL students were to the North Shore administration, Board of Education, and community for this beautiful space. After Mrs. Finder spoke, two GWL students gave speeches and held the red ribbon which was cut to symbolize the “official” opening of the new GWL library!
Thank you to Superintendent Dr. Z and all the administrators, the North Shore Schools Elementary Library Media Specialists, GWL SCA, community members, and Principal Bridget Finder for a great ribbon cutting ceremony. At the end, Librarian Mrs. Smith led the fourth graders in a book reading of “Our Table” followed by a discussion in the “Library Corner” - a cozy student-favorite spot!
