North Shore Fifth Graders Come Together to Meet and Compete!
Under bright blue skies on May 28, 2024, fifth graders in all three North Shore elementary schools gathered on the HS Stadium Field to participate in their Fun Day! Ready to meet new friends, students formed teams to compete in many fun games including favorites like tug-of-war, water brigade, water balloon toss, potato sack race, fishing for balls, and various relay races – just to name a few!
Fun day is designed to enable the fifth graders to meet their incoming sixth grade classmates who will all be attending North Shore Middle School in September. It enables students to collaborate, problem-solve, compete, get exercise, and meet new friends all while having a great time!
Not only did everyone have to show good sportsmanship but the different activities tested hand-eye coordination, throwing and catching skills, kicking and running abilities, dexterity, and balancing proficiency.
Three cheers to all of the fifth graders and their wonderful physical education teachers and faculty who participated in this awesome Fun Day! See you all at North Shore Middle School in the Fall! Go Vikings Go!
