North Shore’s Community Celebration of Students
It was a celebration to remember as the community came out to celebrate our students! At North Shore High School, you could see parents, grandparents, young families with Pre-K students, K-12 students, North Shore families, alumni, and residents all engaged in activities including the Fine & Performing Arts, Athletics, and STEAM!
Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis reading to Pre-K and Kindergarten students, beautiful jazz music, the hit of a bat, sounds of laughter, and smiling faces could be seen throughout the day as older students helped their younger peers learn how to play instruments in the cafeteria, work the robot by the gym, make rollercoasters outside in the courtyard, draw on the floor, and play golf, lacrosse, and baseball out on the fields - just to name a few! All under the direction of North Shore teachers and directors! There was something for everyone to enjoy!
Ms. Dalia Rodriguez said, “On behalf of the administration team, thank you for all you did to make the Community Celebration of Students a memorable North Shore moment! I have never been prouder to stand with you and was deeply moved by how you all rose to the occasion and collaborated with each other to create a beautiful experience for all who attended. Additionally, the fact that alumni volunteered to help speaks volumes about the impact our faculty and administration has had on their education and growth.” In addition, thank you to Ms. Dalia Rodriguez and her faculty (and Arts Angels), Mr. Don Lang and the coaches (and Booster Club), the robotics team under the direction of Mr. Ryan Bridgwood and Mr. Stephen Peron, the Teachers Union for the student vote and large display of student work, and all the STEAM teachers under Dr. Carol Ann Smyth for the various fun activities. Plus, all the faculty districtwide who assisted with this incredible event.
A big Vikings thank you goes out to Dr. Z, Dr. Carol Ann Smyth, and the Board of Education for such a wonderful day! It was amazing to see everyone come together with such dedication, commitment, and love for our students, our schools, and the whole North Shore community.
Go Vikings Go!
