The Interact Club Pre-Holiday Fundraisers
Under the direction of Ms. Rachel McAree, the Interact Club participated in two events prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. The first was a Spooky Candy Gram event to raise money for Sunrise Association, a camp for children with cancer and their siblings to attend free of charge! The second was a Thanksgiving fundraiser to assist in providing boxes of food to local community members.
On October 28 -29, 2024, students in the Interact Club gathered at tables in North Shore High School cafeteria to encourage their peers and teachers to make Candy Gram donations to the Sunrise Camp. On Halloween, October 31, 2024, the candy and messages were delivered by the Interact Club. Later in the month, a check for $250 was presented to Ms. Aileen Hoffman at the Interact Club’s meeting. Thank you to all of the students, faculty and staff who made generous donations for children bathing cancer.
In addition, approximately 40 members of the Interact Club held a food drive in November 2024 at Holiday Farms. North Shore students collected nonperishable items to make 48 boxes of food. Prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, the boxes of food were delivered within the local community. Thank you to everyone who participated in this important fundraiser.
