DANCE SYMPOSIUM 2023
Bravo HS & MS Dancers in the 2023 Dance Symposium Titled Daydreams
Congratulations to all the North Shore High School and North Shore Middle School students who performed in the 2023 Dance Symposium titled Daydreams. The symposium was composed of performances from the high school students in the Conditioning for Dance, Studio in Dance and Advanced Dance classes, as well as the middle school Dance Exploration and Popular Dance Club students under the talented direction of Simone Kuranishi, Dance Educator
Ms. Kuranishi said, “This has been a truly collaborative effort among the Fine and Performing Arts students and staff and for that I am eternally grateful.”
To accompany our incredibly talented dancers, there was live music performed by the North Shore High School Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jason Domingo, and the Madrigal Singers, conducted by David Catalano, along with recorded audio provided by the NSMS Symphonic Band, conducted by Eric Mordhorst and the middle school Ukulele Club, conducted by Caitlin Mallon. Intermission music has been created by the Music Production and Engineering students under the direction of Bryce Larsen.
Each dance will be performed in front of pieces of artwork provided by the students of the middle and high school Fine Arts Department under the direction of Benjamin Benfield, Sara Cano, Margaret DeLima, and Lynn Johnson.
Furthermore, the Viking Masquers will be providing technical support running the lights, sound, projection, backstage and front of house under the direction of Aaron Brateman and Damien Chillemi.
Congratulations to all on this wonderful night of dance!
