GH Boosterthon – Schoolwide Fun Run!

On October 11, 2023, all Pre-K-5th grade students at Glen Head School participated in the annual Boosterthon, an outdoor schoolwide event that promotes fun, running, health, and wellness!

As students entered through the gigantic maroon and yellow Vikings helmet, the back field of Glen Head School was transformed into a high-energy racetrack for all the GH students to enjoy!  

Principal Dr. Peter Rufa along with his physical education teachers watched students in the fun Boosterthon races, but along with GH faculty and parents could be seen cheering on the students as they happily ran, skipped, or walked laps around the track of cones receiving a check with every lap! You could hear and see the joy on the students’ faces as they challenged their fellow students to race to the finish line!

Thank you to the GH PTO (Glen Head Parent Organization), GH physical education teachers, and GH parents and families that made this schoolwide fun and wellness fundraiser possible! Everyone at Glen Head School had a great time and it was extremely successful, raising approximately $30,000!
