NYS OUTSTANDING PHYSICAL EDUCATION AWARD

Two North Shore High School Students Receive NY State Outstanding Physical Education Awards

On Monday night, December 4, 2023, North Shore High School students, Alexandra Selmani and Rishi Malhotra, received the prestigious New York State Outstanding Physical Education Student Award.

Principal Eric Contreras said, “Congratulations to Alex and Rishi, Ms. Keohan and the entire PE department. We are proud of Alex and Rishi as recipients of this prestigious NYS award. They take their talents from physical education, including their athleticism, their leadership, and their focus to all their other work at North Shore High School. They are exceptional students who lead and achieve in academics, the arts and beyond.” He added, “Physical education is a great catalyst for success across the board.”

This award recognizes those students who exemplify exceptional physical performance, scholastic ability, and leadership qualities. The students were nominated for this award by their Physical Education teachers.
