HS DEBATE PAIR 4-0 at LI FORENSICS ASSOCIATION (LIFA) DEBATE CONGRESS TOURNAMENT
North Shore High School Debate Pair Sweeps at Long Island Tournament
Grace Lei and Raymond Lin finished 4-0 at the recent Long Island Forensics Association (LIFA) Debate Congress tournament.
Debaters Genevieve Hudin and Aaron Flores also won a debate on their very first tournament. The North Shore High School Debate team is back and thriving under the leadership of faculty advisor Joshua Knight. We are proud of their accomplishment on their first year back.
Principal Eric Contreras said, “We thank Mr. Knight and the debaters for bringing excitement, scholarship, and great energy to our North Shore High School debate team and program. Debate integrates research, collaboration, and speaking skills in a dynamic and competitive format. It promotes informed civic engagement and purposeful inquiry. Debaters are also required to debate both sides, allowing them to learn and appreciate multiple perspectives.”
Congratulations to all!
