Viking Explorers Make First Expedition to Tappen Beach

Friday, September 16th, 2022, the North Shore Middle School Viking Explorers made their first expedition to the one and only Tappen Beach! Students engaged in several activities such as water testing, fishing, seining, and more!

Several members of the Viking Explorers caught fish, which they identified and released. To catch these fish and seine, students wore “waders” to go into the water (which I feel were pretty ridiculous!)

Overall, the Viking Explorers had a great first trip learning about the environment!
