North Shore High School Ranked Among 19 Best High Schools in the Country

As reported by U.S. News & World Report released on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, North Shore High School was among 19 Long Island high schools ranked best in the country. In this year’s “Best High Schools” edition, nearly 18,000 public high schools at the national, state, and local level were ranked.

“We are ranked among a very impressive cohort of high schools locally and nationally,” said North Shore High School Principal Eric Contreras. “This distinction is a credit to the hard work of everyone in our North Shore community. The collective commitment to support exemplary teaching and learning, artistic and athletic experiences speaks to who we are. Beyond this distinctive ranking we are reminded that while we measure well against the best, what makes us special are the immeasurable experiences that support the whole child.  We take pride that our children learn to develop life-long friendships, enjoy music, art, athletics, dance, robotics and research. That they value and we support them as they explore freely and pursue their passions and interests. We celebrate our ranking as we are guided by our shared values.”
