WOMEN’S SPRING TRACK TEAM CELEBRATION

Women’s Track and Field Team Celebration!
Nassau County Champs!  

On June 2, 2022, Director of Athletics Mr. Don Lang led a celebration ceremony in the North Shore High School Library honoring the Varsity Girls Track and Field team who won the Nassau County Class A championships by defeating 18 schools in the county. Speakers included Interim Superintendent Dr. Tom Dolan, Board President Dave Ludmar, Principal Eric Contreras, and Coaches Neal Levy and Donna Jean Pierantozzi-Welch. Incoming Superintendent Dr. Chris Zublionis was in attendance to commend the girls!  Coach Levy spoke about the comradery, dedication, hard work, and devotion each girl exemplified this season without “drama” while Mr. Lang said how “well-balanced” the team was as a whole. Both praised the parents and family members in the room for their constant support and love.   

Congratulations goes out to all 30 of the girls who received an award and North Shore School pen including Ava Attina, Sophia Banner, Jamie Bayon, Hannah Bombardiere, Madeline Bush, Sophia Demillio, Kathryn Ditrano, Emma Dulaski, Jill Feuerborn, Sophia Glazarev, Brianna Graziosi, Smanatha Hsieh, Keira Jensen, Sidney Lamond, Isabelle Lee, Jessica Lillis, Sophia Marchioli, Bella Martocci, Emma Nelson, Maia Nisim, Madison O’Donnell, Maria Patetsios, Fiona Reagan, Kate Salerno, Maya Samuels, Georgia Stefas, Gabriella Stiffler, Ariella Volz, Sylvie Ward, and Hazel Wright.  

Coach Neal Levy said prior, “It was truly a team effort as it was a culmination of the seasons work.”

Congratulations to the entire team and their coaches! The next competition will be the State qualifier to be held at North Shore High School on June 3rd and 4th, 2022.
