HS Artists & Performers Ceremony
First Annual North Shore HS Artists & Performers Cerebration
On June 9, 2022, Ms. Dalia Rodriguez hosted the first annual North Shore High School Recognition of Collegiate Artists, honoring seniors who have dedicated their high school years as artists and performers. She highly praised them for committing to colleges to pursue their passion in creative artistic programs including graphic design, video editing, animation, theatre, music, dance, film, fashion design, and the fine arts – just to name a few! The ceremony began with smooth sounds from the high school Jazz Combo.
Principal Eric Contreras congratulated the honored seniors and shared how deeply proud he was of their accomplishments, talent, and devotion to the arts. Invited guests including parents and family members as well as their peers gathered in the high school theatre as the seniors were asked to sit onstage to listen to North Shore teachers and faculty members share beautiful accolades about each student’s respective abilities, skills, and endeavors in the arts.
We congratulate the following seniors and wish them well as they pursue their dreams as artists and performers: August Angulo (University of Chicago), Daniel Becker (Theater Production at Dutchess), Ella Blumenthal (Muhlenberg College), Carlos Bonilla (Adelphi University), Ashleigh Gilligan (Laboratory Institute of Merchandising), Mark Hom (Brandeis University), Hannah Ikawa (University of Buffalo), Finley Livingston (Tulane University), Bryan Luu (Maryland Institute College of Art), Julia McLellan (Berklee College), Michael Morra (SUNY Potsdam – Crane School of Music), Genevieve Morton (Pratt University), Emma Murtha (Hofstra University), James Owen (Hofstra University), Lily Perrotta (Temple University), Matthew Rodriguez (Hofstra University), Abigail Schwab (Pratt Institute), Isabel Segal (University of Tampa), and Lilyan Whitcomb (Ringling College of Art & Design).
