TENURE & RETIREMENT RECOGNITIONS
NS Board Along with Administration Recognizes Tenured Teachers and Says Farewell to Those Retiring
The high school theatre was filled with family, friends and colleagues as the Board of Education, administration, and principals recognized North Shore Schools teachers, administrators, and staff for tenure and retirement at the June 9, 2022 meeting.
Tenured teachers and administrators include Tyler Bianco (HS Physics), Lauren Bienz (GH), Richard Blake (Elementary Music), Ryan Bridgwood (Elementary STEM), Kirsten Clagnaz (GH), Lisa Daly (SC ENL), Carolyn DiPreta (Elementary Counseling), Alicia Ezat (MS Spanish), Whitney Hackman (GH Music), Caitlin Mallon (MS Music), Jonathan McCrum (GH Special Ed), Christina Michalenok (GH Reading), Nina Livingston (MS Library, effective 10/22/22), Ann Marie Burden (GH Teaching Asst., effective 10/30/22), Amelia Hecker (GWL, effective 11/1/22), Eric Contreras (HS Principal, effective 7/1/22), and Brendan Nelson (MS Assistant Principal, effective 7/1/22). Recognized for receiving tenure earlier in the school year included Jingwen Cai (GH Mandarin), Cindy Ellenbogen (GH Special Ed), Alyson Storck (GH Psychologist) and Dr. Kerri Titone (AP/IB Teacher Leader).
On behalf of the Board of Education the following employees Ba Balwant (25 years), Jeannine Bernesby (28 years), Olivia Buatsi (25 years), Diane Bunce (25 years), Jose L. Cruz (25 years), Rob Hert (30 years), Denise Innella (18 years), Joyce Izzo (26 years), Patricia Lerch (24 years), John Maus (22 years) Sue McLaughlin (22 years), and Jean McNamara (15 years) were recognized and thanked for their many years of service to our students and North Shore families. Additionally, Sara Jones received Board recognition as out-going trustee and Interim Superintendent Dr. Thomas Dolan was recognized for his successful year at North Shore. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your dedication to our schools and community.
