NORTH SHORE MIDDLE SCHOOL GRADE 6 ORIENTATION
Welcome North Shore Sixth Graders!
Principal Ryan O’Hara and Assistant Principal Brendan Nelson along with faculty and staff welcomed approximately 208 sixth graders to North Shore Middle School on August 30, 2022. It was an exciting time for the sixth graders, as they met their new principal and assistant principal, saw their old friends, and were introduced to new peers from the other two North Shore elementary schools.
Principal O’Hara expressed how thrilled he was to meet everyone and be back at the North Shore School District. He reassured his students that it was okay to feel excited and nervous today, and that he was feeling both emotions. Principal O’Hara stated that it was going to be a wonderful year of learning and opportunities for all of his students. For the sixth graders, he discussed their new schedules, teams, and highlighted the tremendous number of prospects at North Shore Middle School including exciting electives, intriguing courses, and expanded social circles.
During the orientation, the North Shore Middle School Counseling Department was available to assist the sixth graders. Students took small group tours of the building and had the opportunity to see their classrooms, open their lockers, ask important questions, and participate in fun meet and greet games!
Additionally, the Middle School PTSO was available with boxes of school supplies and many North Shore items including hoodies, shirts, and various hats! We wish all of the North Shore Middle School students the best of luck in 2022-23!
