NINTH GRADE ORIENTATION
Incoming 9th Grade Orientation
at North Shore High School
On Tuesday, August 30, 2022, Principal Mr. Eric Contreras and the high school administration team including Assistant Principal Dr. Kevin Kurrus and Assistant Principal Jennifer Imperiale warmly welcomed the Freshman Class of 2022-23 to North Shore High School.
Over 177 incoming freshmen were also greeted by older students in the Peer Educators Club (Peer Leaders) who led group tours of the school and classrooms, assisted the ninth graders with their schedules, held fun break-the-ice games, and answered any questions or concerns to help make their transition to high school easier. The incoming freshman class was excited to reunite with their friends from the middle school.
While their children toured the school, Principal Contreras and Dr. Kurrus held an informative presentation with parents and families in the auditorium. Parents were encouraged to ask questions and learn more about North Shore High School.
In addition, Mr. Daniel Doherty, the Director of Counseling, and the counseling team were on hand to answer any scheduling questions and assist the incoming freshman.
Many thanks to the HS PTO, administration, and Peer Leaders for all of their assistance. To conclude, ninth graders were treated to Italian ices and cool drinks by the HS PTO. Best of luck to the graduating Class of 2026 during your high school years!
