Sixth Grade Orientation 2021-22 at North Shore Middle School
August 25th was a beautiful day as Interim Principal Ms. Jennifer Imperiale and Assistant Principal Mr. Brendan Nelson welcomed approximately 220 students to North Shore Middle School, in small groups throughout the day. The incoming Viking sixth graders were happily greeted by the middle school administrators, faculty and staff and participated in an important, hands-on orientation. It was an exciting time for each of them as they met their new principal, saw their old friends, and met new peers from the other two elementary schools.
During the orientation, the MS Counseling Department was available to assist the incoming 6h grade class. With the help of faculty and groups of eighth graders, the students toured the middle school and their classrooms, opened their lockers, and participated in fun meet and greet team-building games!
Interim Principal Ms. Jennifer Imperiale greeted her six graders and enthusiastically prepared them for their first year by welcoming them to the middle school, explaining their team colors and schedules as well as highlighting the tremendous amount of opportunities that they all will be able to participate in at North Shore Middle School this coming school year. In addition, members of the MS PTSO helped greet the new students and their families and give out boxes of school supplies!
We wish the incoming North Shore six graders the best of luck now and in the future!
