HIGH SCHOOL FIRST DAY
New Principal Eric Contreras Welcomes Back North Shore High School
On Thursday, September 10th, the doors of North Shore High School opened and new Principal Eric Contreras along with Assistant Principals Jennifer Imperiale and Kevin Kurrus welcomed back their students, faculty, and staff for an amazing school year.
Upon entering the building, COVID-19 guidelines were followed as faculty and staff guided students to take temperature checks and utilize the new hand sanitizer dispensers at the entrances. All those in attendance visibly wore masks, practiced social distancing as new COVID-19 signage was placed on the walls and floors of the building, and washed their hands frequently throughout the day.
After many months apart, everyone was happy to see his or her friends and get back into the academic routine. The students met their teachers, talked with peers, ate lunch outside, and heard about their coursework for the upcoming school year. Weather permitting; students will participate in learning, physical education, and other educational or wellness activities outside.
Thank you to Principal Contreras and all of the administration, faculty, staff, and HS PTO for all of your preparation, hard work, and amazing “Welcome Back” signage. In addition, greetings to all of the North Shore distance learners on your first day of classes! Best of luck to new Principal Contreras and everyone at North Shore High School as you embark on the 2020-21 school year. It is going to be a wonderful year full of many memories and achievements.
