NS COMMENDED STUDENTS

Congratulations North Shore Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit ® Scholarship Program

Principal, Eric Contreras along with Director of Counseling Mr. Daniel Doherty of North Shore High School recently announced that the following North Shore High School seniors including Sophie Blumenthal, Jackson Cooperman, Bridget Lewis, Lucia Martin,
Henry Rieger, Ruishe Sun, Kate Weseley-Jones and Brandon Zhu were recognized for exceptional academic promise as Commended Students in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program.

They placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2021 competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit® Scholarships, some of these students do become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses.
