Dear Students (and Parents/Guardians),
Summer provides a wonderful opportunity to escape from life’s urgencies by entering the captivating world of books. This summer, your high school English teachers and Ms. Rice have provided you with even more choice: 3-6 texts depending upon your course-level. Also new this summer is the inclusion of personal development books for those of you who want to take advantage of the new school year’s reset button. Select whichever course-specific book you prefer and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
The 2019 Summer Reading course-specific book lists and descriptions will be available on our North Shore High School homepage and in the Sea Cliff and Gold Coast Public Libraries over the summer.
While some students prefer purchasing their books, copies will be available at North Shore High School, North Shore Middle School (incoming grade 9 only), local Barnes and Noble stores, and both the Sea Cliff and the Gold Coast Public Libraries. You can even download eBook and audio versions through Overdrive!
All HS English classes will be hosting Summer Reading celebration activities on Friday, September 27th.
So, pour yourself a cool glass of lemonade, and find a shady tree. It’s time for your Summer Reading!
