Congratulations 8 North Shore Commended Students in the 2020 National Merit ® Scholarship Program

Principal, Albert Cousins along with Director of Counseling Mr. Daniel Doherty of North Shore High School recently announced that eight North Shore High School seniors including Ethan Aminov, Sonja Rose A Bogolubov, Melissa Brugmann, Carolyn Doyle, Camille Giertl, Katherine J Hunt, Izzy Lerman, and Mary Sotiryadis  were recognized for exceptional academic promise as Commended Students in the 2020 National Merit Scholarship Program

They placed among the top 50,000 scorers of more than 1.6 million students who entered the 2020 competition by taking the 2017 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit® Scholarships, some of these students do become candidates for Special Scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses.
