Musicians Chosen to Perform at LISFA

Congratulations to the North Shore Elementary and Middle School musicians who were chosen to participate in the Long Island String Festival Association (LISFA) at Uniondale HS on March 2-4.

Congratulations to the following students from North Shore Middle School: Ella Blumenthal, Eileen Zhao, Will Winchester, Mark Hom, Noah Lee, Emery Viscovich, Harrison Levin under the direction of their Orchestra teacher Steven Uh. Students from the elementary division were Wenqi Xiao (Glen Head School), Tristan Segal (Glenwood Landing), Isabelle Lee (Sea Cliff), under the direction of their Orchestra teachers Pat Falco, Rachel Viola and Kevin Haas.

The Long Island String Festival provides the opportunity for outstanding string players from each school district in Nassau and Suffolk County to come together to perform challenging orchestral repertoire over the course of a few days and to perform in a concert under the direction of distinguished conductors and educators. The success of LISFA lies in the strength of the string teachers on Long Island, their talented students, the parents who support their musical development and the quality of the conductors who together celebrate the power of music.
