FIRST DAY AT GLENWOOD LANDING SCHOOL
Welcome Back Glenwood Landing Students!
On Thursday, September 10, 2020, Principal Bridget Finder along with her faculty and staff at Glenwood Landing School greeted her students on the first day of classes. Standing outside in the rain, Mrs. Finder welcomed her kindergartners in the “Kindergarten Circle” as her faculty and staff helped them inside.
Upon entering the building, COVID-19 guidelines were followed as faculty and staff helped students with temperature checks and the new hand sanitizer dispensers at the entrances. All those in attendance visibly wore masks, practiced social distancing as new COVID-19 signage was placed on the walls and floors of the building, and washed their hands throughout the day.
All of the older students seemed excited to meet their teachers and see their friends while the youngest students were introduced to new lifelong buddies. It was a wonderful day back as the students settled into their new classrooms, listened to their teachers talk about what they would be learning this school year, and unpacked their boxes of supplies. Additionally, students were able to enjoy their snacks and have mask breaks. Weather permitting, everyone will go outside for fresh air and participate in learning, physical education, and outdoor play
Thank you to Principal Finder and all of the administration, faculty, staff, and GWL SCA for all of their preparation and hard work. It was a wonderful first day of classes. Best of luck to everyone in 2020-21! It is going to be a memorable school year!
