HALLOWEEN AT GLEN HEAD SCHOOL
A Pumpkin Patch for Halloween at GH
This school year, something spooktacular for Halloween was set up in the gymnasiums of each of our North Shore Elementary schools including Glen Head School, Sea Cliff School, and Glenwood Landing School thanks to the dedication and support of our Glen Head PTO, Glenwood Landing SCA, and Sea Cliff PCA.
On October 30th, 2020, K-5 North Shore students dressed in ghoulish Halloween costumes along with their principals faculty and staff were invited by class to the gym which was beautifully decorated as an authentic pumpkin patch with hundreds of pumpkins, bales of hay, and colorful blowups of witches, goblins, and ghouls!
To the delight of each of the students, they were able to walk around the gym and pick a pumpkin and take photos with their classmates. But, that’s not all! Throughout the day, the enthusiastic students remained in their costumes and participated in fun Halloween activities including yoga and wellness activities, spooky dancing, and pumpkin decorating.
Thank you to all of the physical education teachers, faculty, principals, and North Shore Parent Organizations for engaging our students in such a fun and spooktacular experience. The joy and excitement on all of their faces was wonderful to see, as they each were able after school to take home their decorated pumpkins and enjoy Halloween with their families.
