GWL FIFTH GRADER HOSTS FOOD DRIVE
GWL Fifth Grader Hosts Food Drive for Island Harvest & Spreads Awareness about World Hunger
Kudos to Brynn Paulinksi, a 5th Grade working on a SWES Passion Project based on a self-selected line of inquiry, researched World Hunger in great depth and created a Google Slide Presentation to spread awareness. Her presentation was shared in a Google Meet designated for GWL K-5 learners that the whole school was invited to attend.
Additionally, Brynn decided to turn her empathy into action by hosting a Food Drive. She created a flyer to promote the drive and the GWL Community generously donated boxes and boxes of nonperishable food items. Island Harvest collected two large pallets of food that was be distributed to those in need across Long Island.
