A Celebration of North Shore Pride
HS Spirit Week & Pep Rally
North Shore High School students showed pride during the annual spirit week and pep rally. The week in particular is a favorite among students, faculty, and staff and gets everyone eager for homecoming weekend! This years’ spirit week offered students the chance to wear clothing of the following various themes including Hawaiian or Tiki apparel (Tuesday), comfortable pajamas (Wednesday), red, white and blue USA day (Thursday), and North Shore Spirit colors of maroon and white to support the Vikings during the annual pep rally on Friday, October 12!
At the pep rally, all of the athletic teams were in attendance along with the faculty, staff and principals. Plus, the Robotics team! Classic favorites such as cage-volleyball were played to the delight of the students in the crowd. Faculty members engaged in the fun as the students had the chance to compete against their teachers in an exciting cage-volleyball match!
As the pep band played enthusiastically, students grew more and more spirited in support of their respective teams! Finally, the homecoming king and queen were crowned and the waiting was over as Matt LiPera and Kyra Kiggins were given their traditional trip around the gym floor on a golf cart. Many thanks to our Viking Mascot, David Swett!
Overall, the pep rally was a great start to a great homecoming! Many thanks Athletics Director Don Lang, faculty and all of the students who participated including all of the athletics teams, cheerleaders, Pulse, Drum Line and Pep Band! Go Vikings!
