Congratulations Trustee Marianne Manning Russo! Recipient of Women of Distinction Award

Congratulations go out to Trustee Marianne Manning Russo who on October 6, 2018 was honored at Assemblyman Edward Ra’s Sixth Annual Women of Distinction Awards Ceremony. She was nominated by Trustee Richard Galati in special recognition of her outstanding service to our community. At this prestigious event, women in the community were honored who “reach the very summit of perseverance and excellence, both in their professional fields and civic endeavors.”  

The ceremony took place at the Westbury Library in Westbury, New York. Assemblyman Ra stated in a letter addressed to Trustee Russo, “I would like you to know your passion and dedication has not gone unnoticed or underappreciated. Someone believes your gracious service has impacted them and the community immensely. I believe it is paramount that we honor the women who enrich our community and, likewise, celebrate their many successes. It is your dedication that inspires and leads us to a brighter tomorrow.”   

After receiving her award, Trustee Russo stated, “Thank you to Assemblyman Ra for recognizing the contributions made by so many talented and dedicated women who selflessly serve our communities. I am honored and humbled to be included amongst their rank. Thank you also to Trustee Richard Galati for nominating me and to Assemblyman Montesano and Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth who took time from their busy schedules to join us.”
