Hank Logeman/News 12 High School Journalism Award
North Shore Senior Receives Hank Logeman/News 12 High School Journalism Award
Congratulations goes out to Zoe Malin, a senior at North Shore High School, who last month was the recipient of the Hank Logeman/News 12 High School Journalism Scholarship. Zoe was honored at the Press Club of Long Island Media Awards Dinner in April 2018. This award was created to honor journalist Hank Logeman, a reporter for United Press International who influenced many of Long Island's successful journalists. The award is funded by News 12 and Newsday and is presented to a high school student each year.
But, that’s not all! Zoe also won the Good Deed Award from the he National Committee for the Furtherance of Jewish Education (NCFJE) on Long Island. Teens chosen for this “Academy Award” of leadership are recognized for their outstanding acts of goodness and kindness to society as well as their pioneering activity in the transmission of value and identity.
Zoe will be attending Northwestern University in the Fall 2018 and has been accepted to the Medill School of Journalism. Best of luck now and in the future!
