It is time to register for the Kindergarten Class of 2018-19 for children in the North Shore School District who were born between December 1, 2012 and December 1, 2013

The first step in this process is to complete a residency packet.  You may obtain this packet in person at the main office at any of the three elementary schools. A registration packet provides the District assurance of your residency in the North Shore Schools and the necessary demographic information on your youngster. Parents enrolling their child in non-public (private and parochial) schools must also prove residency and meet eligibility requirements in order to qualify for transportation and textbooks.

Upon completing the required documents, please call Mrs. Katherine Miller, Registrar for the North Shore Schools, at 277-7824 to schedule an appointment to review your completed documents. This meeting should take no more than ten or fifteen minutes. At this meeting, you will receive a second packet of information pertaining to the second step in the process, which is to register your child at the appropriate elementary school. 

During the Kindergarten Registration Week and Orientation Week, you will learn more about our Kindergarten program and about our schools.
Please note the following Registration & Screening dates for the Elementary Schools (by appointment):

Glenwood Landing: March 19 thru March 22, 2018

Sea Cliff: March 19 thru March 23, 2018

Glen Head: April 18, 20, 24, 26, 30, 2018           

The third step in preparation for Kindergarten will be orientation. Your school will contact you with the dates and details regarding the orientation program during which you will have an opportunity to become better acquainted with the school, the principal and some of the people who your child will work with beginning in September.

Please note the following Orientation/Class Room visitation dates for the Elementary Schools (by appointment):

Glenwood Landing:  April 23 (Orientation Visit #1) and May 14 (Orientation Visit #2)

Sea Cliff: April 30 (Orientation Visit #1) and May 21 (Orientation Visit #2)

Glen Head: May 14 (Orientation Visit #1) and June 4 (Mandatory Orientation Visit #2)
