SEA CLIFF RAISES MONEY FOR JUMP ROPE FOR HEART
Sea Cliff Students Jump Rope to Help Save Lives
The Sea Cliff Elementary Physical Education Department under the direction of Craig DeNicola and Megan McCormack organized the American Heart Association Jump Rope for Heart event during the month of February 2017. This year Sea Cliff School raised $7,310 bringing total donations from Sea Cliff School in eight years to almost $120,000. The significant Jump Rope for Heart themes including “keep it moving, eating healthy, and making positive choices!
During the month of February, otherwise known as “Heart Healthy Month”, Sea Cliff students learned all about their very important organ known as the heart, the blood vessels leading to and from their hearts, and their circulatory system. While jumping rope and engaging in a number of fun activities including the obstacle course and shooting or dribbling baskets, they also learned how their hearts work.
