NORTH SHORE MIDDLE SCHOOL 8th GRADERS MOVE ON
Congratulations Middle School Eighth Graders!
Congratulations to all of the North Shore Middle School eighth graders who graduated on June 23, 2022! It was a beautiful day as Interim Principal Jennifer Imperiale took center stage and welcomed her students as well as all of their loving parents and family members to the Moving On ceremony. Everyone was dressed beautifully, and you could feel the excitement outside on the North Shore High School campus. To begin the ceremony, the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Alexa Petulla and Jacob Ludmar. Interim Principal Imperiale reminded her graduating class to “Stay optimistic and look for the positives especially when life brings you unexpected challenges... An optimistic mindset leads to a healthier, more successful life…”
During the ceremony, many of the eighth graders graciously received recognitions while others spoke about their years at North Shore Middle School (award recipient names to follow soonh). After the awards, the following students were called up to the podium to reflect on their years at North Shore Middle School including Evangeline Lau, Mae Curiale, Zayan Faruque, and Luna Espinosa De Rozas.
Towards the end of the ceremony, all of the eighth graders were individually called on to receive their diplomas during the traditional Moving On ceremony. They had grown up so much during these three short years at the middle school and were all excited to move on to the high school where they could have more independence, take many new courses, and expand their circle of friends. Principal Eric Contreras was the first to warmly welcome his incoming freshman class to North Shore High School. He told them how happy he was to see them “cheer for each other,” and reminded them, “Not to change and that they are perfect the way they are today with all their imperfections....” In addition, Interim Superintendent Dr. Tom Dolan, and Board of Education President Dave Ludmar addressed the students earlier in the ceremony.
Congratulation to all of the North Shore Middle School eighth graders! We wish you, the Class of 2022, only the best as you move on to North Shore High School. We know you are ready for all of the challenges and wonderful things ahead. Please enjoy your summer and we will see you in September!
