Home Test Kits

North Shore Schools Covid Home Test Kits Available to Students Pick-Up Date Added on Tuesday, January 11, at NS High School from 3:30 – 6 p.m.

On January 4, 2022, Interim Superintendent Dr. Thomas Dolan announced that the Covid Home Test Kits were obtainable from BOCES for the North Shore Schools. One box (containing two kits) was made available for pick up for each of our North Shore students beginning Wednesday, January 5, and Thursday, 6, 2022. Everyone was asked to be patient while district employees verified identification at the various pick-up locations.
Assistant Superintendent for Instruction Dr. Christopher Zublionis said, “We were sent over 2,500 home test kits for distribution, one per each student.” He continued, “I would like to thank our Facilities and Operations Manager, Mr. John Hall, and Safety and Security Coordinator, Mr. John Ahern, as well as our security personnel who made the distribution smooth and successful.”

He added, “We are going to have an extra pick-up day, Tuesday, January 11th at North Shore High School from 3:30 - 6 p.m. for anyone who was unable to make it last week. We will continue to do this outside of school hours, in order to minimize traffic congestion at the high school.”

These kits are intended for personal use. The district was able to successfully distribute approximately 60% of the Covid Home Test Kits last week. This number is likely to go up after the additional distribution of kits on January 11, 2022.
