Vikings Beat Cold Spring Harbor, 21-14, Clinching County Championships
Congratulations go out to the Vikings Varsity Football Team for beating Cold Spring Harbor in an exciting playoff game to become the Nassau Conference IV Championships, the first football title in 46 years!
The stands at Hofstra University Shuart Stadium were filled with many North Shore fans cheering as the Vikings took the field. Coming back from a 7-0 Cold Spring Harbor lead, the Vikings dedication and grit this whole season was on display as the team rallied to beat Cold Spring Harbor in a nail biter, 21-14, to become the Nassau County Champs!
Congratulations to the Vikings Football Team, Coaches, Cheerleaders, Pulse, HS Pep Band, Don Lang, Marge Anderson, the entire athletics department, and everyone who came out in the community to cheer on the North Shore Vikings! The Varsity team includes Nicholas Livoti, Peter Liotta, Dylan Kunkel, Ryan Freund, Garret Gates, Richard Cook, Michael Fleming, Peter Laino, William Feldmann, David Berlin, Ryan Camardella, Dylan Roth, Ryan Mannix, Mark Russo, Nicholas La Rosa, Edward Mullen, Eric Mullen, Justin Rosen, Anthony Santoro, Michael Granelli, Nicholas Caprarella, Joseph Zuccarello, Luke Potapov, Andrew Noak, Jack Molesky, Michael McMahon, Patrick Godfrey, Danny Sotiryadis, Leo Ponce, Matthew Laudisio, Athanasios Alafogiannis, Reece Ramos. Andrew Fabiilli, Matthew Topol, Maxim Mokhoff, Issac Bratter and Kelly Larkin. In addition, congratulations to Head Coach, Daniel Agovino, and Assistant Coaches, Craig DeNicola, Bill Madigan, PJ Como, and Scott Lineman.
“I can’t say enough about these kids,” North Shore head coach Dan Agovino said. “I’m so proud of them. They’ve been on a mission since last season ended and this is what we all worked for. It’s just great,” said Coach Agovino.
