Glen Head Harvest Festival Celebration

Glen Head Harvest Festival with Christopher Agostino’s StoryFaces

Students and faculty at Glen Head School welcomed the fall with their annual Harvest Festival on October 31st, with a special guest appearance by Christopher Agostino’s StoryFaces. His innovative performances are an inspiring combination of theatre and visual arts.

At all of the performances at Glen Head School, Mr. Agostino asked students to come on stage prior to each story. As he began his folktales and animated original stories, he gently painted the characters of the stories on the faces of the individual children. Mr. Agostino discussed with the children that he used theatre make-up, and not paint, that was similar to make-up used in most plays and even Broadway shows! It could easily be washed off and removed by the students during the school day or by their parents.

To those watching, it was exciting, surprising, and even inspiring as he brought the themes and main characters of the stories to life on the faces of the children! Many thanks to the Glen Head PTO and teachers, for organizing such a wonderful event to coincide with the Harvest Festival for all of the students to enjoy.
